What's included in the head spa?
Sound therapy, a deeply soothing scalp massage, gentle scalp exfoliation, water fountain therapy, calming steam with a hand and arm massage, a shampoo and conditioner ritual, a soft towel dry and a cup of organic herbal tea.
Is the head spa suitable if I wear hijab?
Yes. Your head spa takes place in a private room, and you can ask for a female therapist when you book. We towel-dry rather than blow-dry, so bring a hair tie or an underscarf and allow time for your hair to dry.
How long does it take and how much is it?
The Head Spa takes 1 hour and is £80. The Head Spa & Facial takes 1 hour 30 minutes and is £120.
Will my hair be styled afterwards?
No. We finish with a soft towel dry, as blow-drying isn't recommended straight after. Plan accordingly if you're heading out. There's no need to wash your hair before you come.
Where can I get a Japanese head spa in East London?
Right here at 730 Romford Road, Manor Park E12. That's Romford Road in East London, not Romford town. We're about a 7-minute walk from Manor Park station (Elizabeth line), and the 25, 86, 425 and W19 buses stop right outside. Clients come for the head spa from Ilford, Stratford, Barking, Walthamstow, Dagenham and Romford. Open 9am to 7pm, 7 days a week.
How do I get to the head spa from Romford, Barking or Walthamstow?
From Romford, take the 86 bus to Rabbits Road, right by us, or the Elizabeth line 5 stops to Manor Park. From Barking, take the Overground one stop to Woodgrange Park, then walk about 10 minutes along Romford Road. From Walthamstow or Leytonstone, the W19 bus stops right outside. From Stratford, the 86 takes about 20 minutes.
Can I buy a head spa as a gift?
Yes. Our gift cards come in £25, £50, £75, £100 and £150, and a £100 card covers the hour-long Japanese head spa (£80). You can buy one online any time from our Gift Vouchers page, or in the salon.
Is a Japanese head spa worth it?
It's a full hour just for you: scalp massage and exfoliation, water fountain therapy, steam with a hand and arm massage, and a shampoo and conditioner ritual, finished with herbal tea. It's £80, or £120 with a facial. Have a look at our reviews to see what clients say.
Will a head spa help with hair loss?
We don't make medical claims. The head spa is a relaxing scalp and hair treatment. If you're worried about hair loss, please speak to your GP.
Can I have a head spa while pregnant?
Please tell us when you book, and check with your midwife or GP first, so we can make sure you're comfortable throughout.
Can two of us have a head spa at the same time?
We do one head spa at a time, so for two people we book you back to back. Book two slots online, or call us on 020 8637 3473 and we'll arrange it.
